Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Days – Newburgh, IN

Gross weekly pay – $3,006 / 40 hours if called in while on call for one shift = $3,798

40 MILE RADIUS RULE – NO LOCAL CANDIDATES

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 40

Primary Location:  Gateway Campus

Shift Requirements: 8hr Days – various shift times: 630-230, 7-3p, 730-330p or 8-4p

Weekends: Every other weekend, Saturday shift + Call

Holidays: None

Float Requirements: Will float between Midtown, Gateway, Heart Hospital, Henderson (mid-shift floating is rare)

On Call/Call Back Requirements: Expected response time for call is 1 hour.  every 3rd weekend (Saturday 7a-30) at Deaconess Henderson (KY). 

Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal:  Indiana State License, KY State License CNMT or ARRT(N)

Minimum Experience:  1 year 

Charting Experience Required:  NA

Required Skillset: General and Cardiac

Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio):  Inpatient/Outpatient/ER

Uniform info:  Royal Blue or Hospital provided scrubs

Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required — Subject to change

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed


The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient’s body.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.

Minimum Requirements:

Level I & II Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program and/or meets all state required educational & licensing/certification standards. Level II Position Requirements: Possesses at least two years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine field • One –two years prior supervisory or Team Lead experience. Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Must be at least 18 years of age
