How you make a difference

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient care by following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse(s) to direct and guide patient teaching and activities according to your education and demonstrated competencies. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality of patient care in the assigned healthcare facility. 



Key Responsibilities Assists in patient assessment and planning of treatment programs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and the Director of Nursing (DON). Implements individualized treatment programs as directed by the Health Care Practitioner, administers medications and obtains diagnostic tests using proper techniques and procedures, and assists in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary. Maintains accurate medical records and reviews nursing practice to ensure compliance with State guidelines. Participates in mandatory staff meetings and training, and communicates information to nursing staff, physicians, and other personnel as necessary. Intervenes with proper safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions and responds to "code" or patient crisis situations as set forth by the site policy and procedure. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Experience

One (1) or more years clinic experience preferredMust be willing and able to travel 100% of the time.

Licenses/Certifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the states of practice and the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse licenseCurrent CPR certification
