Travel Retail Americas Assistant Operations Manager at New Orleans International Airport
Position Title: Assistant Operations Manager Division / Department: Sales & Artist Training Business Unit: Sales & Artist Training Reports To: Store Manager/ ASOM Direct Report(s): None Pay Grade: 8 Position Summary: The Assistant Operations Manager will maintain operation and supervise the location and employees in conjunction with Store Management. They will also motivate the team on the sales floor to achieve sales and productivity goals. Responsibilities: In store supervision: · Coach, train, motivate and lead by example using company products, programs and techniques. · Communicate effectively to Store Manager and Staff. · Ensure superior level of customer service is given at all times. Customer Service · Greet customer within 30 seconds upon their arrival- ask if they need assistance, if unable to assist customer at that time, ensure that someone will be there shortly (based on standards communicated during Basic Training) · Work with Training & Education to ensure staff is trained in service, artistic skills and fragrance authority as established by the company. · Model the standard for staff in regards to customer service expectations as outlined by M·A·C, Tom Ford & JoMalone. · Ensure staff delivers consistent, excellent service in accordance with our standards. · Resolve Customer issues and requests in an efficient and quick manner · Develop and utilize customer database for phone calls, product launches events and appointments in conjunction with the company’s customer program. Inventory Maintenance and Administration · Ensure inventory levels are accurate and appropriate · Supervise the maintenance of stock replenishments and completion as required · Execute new launch displays, collateral placement, etc. · Work with SM to prepare, coordinate and fulfill all needs to have a complete and accurate inventory as needed · Work with Store Manager to follow and implement all corporate visual presentation standards and guidelines · Perform other duties as required Enforcement of Company Policies: · Present and reinforce a professional appearance and maintain company dress code. · Manage all functions using company policies and procedures. · Follow and implement all corporate visual standards and guidelines. Support of Retail Management: · Manage time, establish priorities, and delegate effectively. Sales · Meet your individual responsibility for your appropriate contribution to the team’s goals in term of service, sales and company objectives Adhering to and setting the example for M·A·C, Jo Malone & Tom Ford policies regarding customer service expectations, image, dress code and professional standards. Qualifications Education: A minimum grade 12 education, prefer college education. Job-Related Skills: Cosmetic experience preferred. Excellent Communication, Leadership, organizational and time management skills. Comfortable managing and supervising people. Job-Related Experience: 3-5 years retail experience, 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred Analytical/Interpretive Skills: Training and coaching new and existing employees. Ability to assess and make recommendations on customer service and staff needs. Ability to interpret/analyze weekly/monthly reports. Additional Requirements: Professional demeanor and ability to be flexible and handle change in a positive manner. Embrace the company’s corporate philosophy. Ability to work 40 hours per week including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment. Effort: This position requires excellent communication skills to be performed on a daily basis. This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials are required when restocking the floor supplies. There may be moving and setting up of displays and other events taking place in your location. At counters one must stand nearly 8 hours. Working Conditions: Freestanding M·A·C Stores (retail selling floor). The anticipated base salary range for this position is $ 18.56/hour to $30.93 / hour. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
