The Amergis Division is currently seeking highly skilled RN-ICU/Float Pool at Good Shepherd Healthcare in Hermiston , OR 97838
Position Description:
AThe Critical Care Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in a variety of critical care settings. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, vital sign monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, intravenous insertion and infusion, central line care, catheters, and maintenance of a running record of the patient’s status. The Critical Care RN must be prepared at all times to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other lifesaving measures for the patients in their care.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
+ One year of critical care experience is preferred
+ Minimum of one year acute or critical care experience preferred
+ Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement)
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Resource / Float Pool RN (Days)
13 week opening for experienced Float Pool RN. Will float to ER, ICU, or Med/Surg departments. It is expected that the RN can float to at least 2 departments. 36 hours per week, 3x12 hour shifts.
Good Shepherd is a small rural, critical-access hospital in Eastern Oregon.
Qualifications Needed:
Three or more years of Med Surg, ER, CCU experience
Will be working with both adults and peds
Active OR license is preferred, but will allow 90 day exception
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
