Travel Specialty Dental Assistant
Overview The Travel Specialty Dental Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality dental assistance in various locations, supporting dental teams in performing specialized procedures. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to different working environments. The Travel Dental Assistant will assist with patient care, equipment management, and ensure the smooth operation of dental procedures, especially in specialty areas like orthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. Schedule (days/hours) 8-5pm Responsibilities Patient Assistance: Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist the dentist and dental specialists in chairside procedures, including preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and follow up on patient progress. Clinical Support: Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment, following infection control protocols. Set up and clean treatment rooms before and after patient care. Provide assistance with specialized procedures such as root canals, extractions, or implants, based on the assigned specialty. Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and observations. Travel Coordination: Travel to various dental offices, clinics, and specialty practices based on assignment schedules. Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate travel needs, with a focus on timely arrival and setup at different locations.
