Responsibilities and Duties

Be a key member of the Sky Climber Renewables field workforceTravel 100% on a rotational basis to wind projects throughout CanadaPerform LOTO procedures for multi-brand wind turbines in support of blade or mechanical/electrical service operationsConduct inspections, maintenance and repair of equipmentClimb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feetLift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform multi-brand wind turbine generator and associated equipment assembly, repair, replacement and maintenanceComplete and maintain required company and client documentationEffectively prioritize and escalate technical issues to clients and supporting functionsClean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas as requiredOperate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Sky Climber Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements (eg, Valid License, acceptable driving record)Be exposed to high and low ambient temperatures while working outdoorsMaintain required training certifications for position held, including, not limited to: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid, Basic Safety, Basic Technical, Advanced RescuePerform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisors*Note: For safety compliance, wind technicians must weigh between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing, boots and standard personal equipment   QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum twelve (12) months of industry experienceUnderstanding of basic AC/DC circuitsAbility to verify basic electrical connections and schematicsGWO (BST, BTT, ART) Certifications preferredWork that meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules and Quality, Safety and Environment standardsWillingness to follow OSHA, client and company policies at all timesA professional appearance and positive attitudeBehavior demonstrating integrity and respect for fellow employees, clients and communitiesWillingness and ability to work cooperatively or independentlyProactive communication (up and down)Ability to produce reports, work order documents, and records, written neatly, legibly and completed correctlyAbility to work in a high-volume, multi-priority environmentsKnowledge and basic skills operating various hand and power toolsWillingness and ability to work indoors or outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including blowing pollen, dust, and grassesAbility to pass background check(s) and drug screeningApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
