Work together with the Project Manager to execute the overall job plan as defined by bid documents, bid estimate, and preliminary bid schedule. Maintain a safe workplace per OSHA and Client safety criteria. Ensure adherence to construction standards, inspect work in progress, and identify quality issues. Check material yields directly related to self-performance and subcontractor work. Coordinate subcontractors to maintain progress per the project schedule. Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage expenditures at each location. Prepare and obtain signatures on daily work reports for T&M work. Submit work reports to the PM for invoice preparation and submittal. Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure schedule execution and timely delivery of materials. Regularly communicate project status updates to the project manager and clients via weekly progress reports. Conduct daily safety meetings with all site personnel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HS diploma or GED equivalent and 8+ years of supervisory experience in road construction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of five years’ experience in a civil construction role preferred.
+ Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
+ Knowledge of Railroad Safety and Railroad worker protection training is preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid speaking and presentation skills.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Must possess and maintain a valid Motor vehicle license, with a very clean driving record.
+ High degree of integrity, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Good understanding of equipment, and labor used in road construction projects of various sizes and scope.
+ Must be a self-starter, willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
+ Able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
Work Environment
On-construction sites, traveling to railroad projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.90 - $76.92/hr.
