Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities at work sites, manage subcontractors, and ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves the planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of project activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily construction activities at the work site including work procedures and cost controls.Review subcontractor scope and field coordination, perform day-to-day on-site management, and prepare short-term schedules.Update and oversee quality control and safety programs.Monitor and implement safety programs to ensure all site personnel, including subcontractor employees, are properly trained and adhere to safety protocols prior to project commencement.Enforce safety policies and procedures.Schedule workers, oversee in-house trades, and supervise and coordinate multiple contractors.Manage delivery of equipment and materials to the work site.Ensure project conformance to national and local building codes, maintain accurate records, and manage the overall progress of the project.Maintain involvement in the planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of project activities through subordinate supervisory personnel.Coordinate and review submittals, update submittal registers, and inspect materials and workmanship.Supervise special inspections, verify qualifications, maintain rework/deficiency logs, and conduct three phases of inspection.Hold preparatory and safety meetings with the team.Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA).Review safety submittals for compliance.Review and develop preconstruction general safety submittals, verify qualifications, and maintain safety deficiency logs.Essential SkillsProficient with USACE (United States Army Corps of Engineers) RMS system input and management.OSHA 30-hour certification.USACE CQM-C Certification.Experience with EM-385 1-1.Proficiency with Procore.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF.Experience managing Government Projects.Minimum five years of general experience in construction management relevant to the complexities and size of similar projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsCQCM Certification.Experience in civil construction, vertical construction, and renovation.Mechanical and electrical construction management experience.Experience with quality assurance and safety inspections.Work Environment
This role involves fast-paced projects on military bases under IDIQ (Indefinite Duration Indefinite Quantity) contracts supporting federal facilities. Additional compensation includes per diem and a monthly allowance for truck/fuel. If there is mobilization, it will be covered separately. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and compliance check results.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.10/hr.
