Traveling Lead Electronic Security Technician

Location: Military and federal sites between Virginia and New York
Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electronic Security Technician responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems. This includes access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems. The primary focus of this role will be performing preventative maintenance on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, ensuring their optimal functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
Test electronic security systems according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications. Clean camera lenses. Verify cameras are focused.
Installation and Configuration:
When applicable - Install, configure, and test electronic security systems according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
Corrective Maintenance:
When applicable - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on security systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Diagnose and repair faults in electronic security equipment.
System Upgrades:
Assist in the upgrading of existing security systems.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with clients to assess their security needs
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.
Prepare and submit reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
Compliance:
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with federal regulations.
Stay updated on advancements in electronic security technology.
Travel:
Must be willing to travel between Virginia and New York to multiple Military and Federal sites to perform the work Monday - Friday. (Per Diem and expenses for all travel)
