We are a general contracting firm that is based in the Midwest.
Due to growth and demand, we are looking for a Traveling Superintendent to join our team. We are ideally seeking someone with at least 5 years of in the field commercial retail superintendent experience. If you have safety, scheduling, QC, crew management, inspections and budgeting experience, we want to hear from you!What You Will Be Doing- Oversees and leads the labor crew, subcontractors, and the labor crew foreman
- Satisfies personnel needs in accordance with the construction timeline
- Ensures the right supplies, machinery, labor, and tools are available for the work that is scheduled
- Manages and counsels self-performed laborers and subcontractors involved in the organizing and carrying out of tasks
- Efficiently manages many work phases to guarantee project deliverables on time
- Cultivates and oversees connections with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project managers in order to comprehend the extent of the job and assess the status of construction
- Leads project modifications as necessary
- Examines work-in-progress to make sure it follows timetables and standards
- Works with the committed project manager to anticipate needs for the future building phase
- Promotes worker safety on the job site. ensures that all site personnel, including subcontractors, are held responsible for adhering to the relevant safety regulations, guidelines, and standards. reports mishaps, injuries, and transgressions of safety
- Upholds compliance with relation to hazardous waste, safety, limited access, and the SWPPP and finishes inspections and the associated paperwork
- Directs the weekly foreman's meeting on the job site and records information about toolbox talks, owner input, safety, compliance, scheduling, and other topics
- Creates and maintains Gantt charts with intervals of three to four weeks and completes the site crew's daily timesheets and progress reports
- Submits finished material and equipment reports and assesses progress using labor productivity units
- Carries out weekly workplace safety audits and reports the results
- May provide RFIs as well as document and convey resolutions
- Speaks with union representatives on labor-related matters
- Gathers, examines, and uploads trade employees' completed new hire documentation
- Obtains and checks materials
