Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team. The selected candidate will initially join a project to become familiar with our client's and the prime contractor's methods. This role involves overseeing the closeout of current projects and leading future projects across various locations, including Utah to Florida. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the highest standards of safety while acting as a liaison to help subcontractors navigate paperwork and compliance standards. The projects mainly involve commercial building projects within active industrial construction sites, such as pre-engineered steel buildings housing mechanical systems and office spaces.

ResponsibilitiesAct as liaison and guide to help subcontractors navigate paperwork and compliance standards.Oversee site safety and ensure adherence to the highest safety standards.Create, maintain, and review all project documentation.Provide project oversight, quality control, and scheduling.Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and owners.Manage project materials and ensure timely delivery.Manage subcontractors to keep the project on schedule.Perform all assigned responsibilities diligently.Essential SkillsExperience with Kiewit, Black and Veatch, Bechtel, or Microsoft.Experience as a lead superintendent on projects valued at $50 million or more.Expertise in safety procedures, including OSHA 30+ certification.2 years of experience with pre-engineered metal building construction.Ability to work as a full-time traveling superintendent.5 years of experience as a heavy commercial or industrial superintendent, overseeing entire projects.2 years of experience in steel erection.5 years of ground-up construction experience.Strong focus on site safety.Ability to communicate effectively and protect the interests of the company and the owner.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Construction Management (preferred).Experience with pre-cast building construction.Work Environment

The role requires on-site presence, working five 10-hour days and 8-hour Saturdays when needed. The projects are located across the US, with current sites in Cumberland City, TN, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The position includes a $700 truck allowance for vehicles 6 years old or newer ($350 for older vehicles), a $75 phone allowance or a company-provided phone, 2 weeks PTO, 7 holidays, and travel home every three weeks (Thursday - Sunday) with plane tickets reimbursed. This is a salaried position paid weekly, even during site shutdowns for holidays. The selected candidate will work closely with and learn from the lead superintendent, who is retiring soon, ensuring long-term employment and career growth. The company pays employees during downtime to stay at home between projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
