Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to join our team. You will start by learning our jobsites and clients, with the opportunity to lead and start multiple upcoming projects within 2-3 months. Our projects are spread across various locations including Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Utah, and Tennessee. The primary focus of our projects is safety, adhering to the highest standards. You will also act as a liaison and guide to help subcontractors navigate paperwork and compliance standards. The projects primarily involve erecting pre-engineered steel buildings for mechanical systems and office spaces in large, active industrial construction sites.

ResponsibilitiesAct as liaison and guide to help subcontractors navigate paperwork and compliance standards.Oversee site safety.Create, maintain, and review all documentation.Ensure project oversight, quality control, and scheduling.Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and owners.Manage project materials.Ensure projects stay on schedule by managing subcontractors.Perform all other assigned responsibilities.Essential SkillsExperience as lead superintendent on projects valued at $50 million or more.Strong experience in safety procedures and construction safety, including OSHA 30+ certification.Minimum 2 years of experience with pre-engineered metal buildings.Ability to be a full-time traveling superintendent.At least 5 years of experience as a heavy commercial or industrial superintendent overseeing entire projects.Minimum 2 years of steel erection experience.At least 5 years of ground-up construction experience.Strong focus on site safety.Excellent communication skills to speak up, be heard, and protect the company and the owner.Additional Skills & QualificationsNucor CICP (Contractor Installation Certification Program) certification.VP installer certification.Degree in Construction Management.Experience with pre-cast buildings.Work Environment

On-site work is required, with a schedule of five 10-hour days and an additional 8-hour shift on Saturdays. Projects are located throughout the US, with current sites in Cumberland City, TN, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role offers a truck allowance, phone allowance, PTO, holidays, travel reimbursement, and competitive salary. You will have the opportunity to work and learn from our lead superintendent who is retiring soon, providing a long-term career path.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
