Job Description
Candidates will be on the road 50%-75% of the time installing and servicing packaging equipment throughout the US. This will involve a mix of driving and flying. When not on the road, they will be answering calls from customers at home, providing guidance on how to fix equipment themselves.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, service, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites, resolving mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.Provide hands-on training for customer employees.Document technical and customer information to facilitate and maintain effective business relationships.Travel 50-75% of the time, including occasional weekend travel, either driving or flying.Provide in-house customer technical support via phone or email to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges when not traveling.Assist the controls engineering group with changing or creating electrical/pneumatic schematics, as well as PLC and PanelView programs.Essential SkillsExperience with electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.Knowledge of pneumatics, wiring, preventive maintenance, hydraulics, field service, and installation.Strong understanding of pneumatic, vacuum, and lubrication systems.General understanding of electrical control devices such as sensors, solenoid valves, VFDs, LPCs, and PLSs.Additional Skills & QualificationsAutoCAD experience is desired but not required.Knowledge of the packaging industry is preferred.Ability to travel 50%-75% throughout the US.Why Work Here?
Employees will receive additional pay while traveling and will be fully reimbursed for food, hotel stays, and driving expenses (67 cents per mile). This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and provides a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
