Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Superintendent to act as an on-site representative for a project located at Voorhees Hall in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves overseeing HVAC system integration, ensuring project specifications and safety protocols are met, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine project execution plans.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into the building design.Supervise HVAC contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all construction personnel.Monitor the quality of HVAC installations to ensure they meet required standards and codes.Manage subcontractor adherence to project scope, budget, and change management.Manage and maintain adherence to the project schedule to ensure timely completion of all phases of the HVAC installation.Address and resolve any issues that arise during the HVAC installation process, coordinating with architects and engineers as necessary.Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including the Dormitory Authority, to keep them informed of progress and any changes.Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including work logs, change orders, and progress reports.Oversee the inspection and testing of HVAC systems to ensure proper and efficient functioning.Essential SkillsConstruction managementHVACMEPDuct workConstruction supervisionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with project planning and executionStrong coordination and communication skillsAbility to enforce safety protocolsProficiency in managing project scope, budget, and scheduleProblem-solving skillsWork EnvironmentThe project is located at Voorhees Hall, a multi-building complex in Brooklyn, NY. The scope of work includes the demolition and replacement of existing air handling units, packaged air conditioning units, and air-cooled condensing units, as well as the replacement of thermostats and controls for VAV boxes. The work involves associated piping, duct work, mechanical equipment, structural, architectural, electrical, abatement, fire alarm, plumbing, and controls work.The construction environment is dynamic and requires adherence to safety protocols, effective communication, and meticulous documentation.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $79.00
