The Treasury Operations Department is responsible for maintaining relationships with banking institutions, overseeing daily cash activity, reviewing daily banking activity and performing monthly account reconciliations. Under the direction of the AP/Treasury Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of duties supporting daily Treasury Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Balance and match internal banking activity to internal reportsConfirm daily cash activity of incoming receiptsConduct the daily review of daily disbursement files and check return accountingPrepare cash activity journal entries for all incoming receipts to the general ledgerConfirm disbursement approvals for daily ACH system files before release to the bankSpecial deposit processing for PayPal receipts, refunds, rebates, etc.Monitor Pay Exceptions with the bankProcess and record cancellations and voids at bankMonthly bank reconciliation support file preparation and running various monthly reportsAssist in gathering documents and support for auditorsCommunicating and working with other accounting and operations departments regardingcash balances, ACH file corrections, check voids and returns, special receipt processingand other day-to-day cash inquiriesUpdate daily treasury rates in administrative systemProvide day-to-day accounting operations support and assistance with administrative tasksDesired Experience:
Associate or college degree preferably in Accounting or Finance2– 4 years in Accounting or Finance related fieldWorking knowledge of Banking functionsDemonstrate proficiency in Microsoft O1ice products with a focus on ExcelExperience working with automated workflow routing systemsGeneral ledger operational knowledge preferred, but not requiredE1ectively communicate with customers inside and outside of the organizationSelf-starter with hands-on learning abilityU-Haul Offers:
