Global Treasury is part of the Corporate Finance organization with approximately 170 teammates worldwide.Its focus includes managing the company’s investment portfolio and funding needs, optimizing the balance sheet and net interest income (NII) and driving risk/return frameworks to manage the company’s capital position and liquidity and interest rate risk profiles.
Asset Liability Management (ALM) is a function within Global Treasury with approximately 40 teammates worldwide. ALM is responsible for the company’s balance sheet strategy, forecasting NII and measuring interest rate risk sensitivities under different rate scenarios. It works closely with other Global Treasury, Finance and Line of Business units to provide analysis and recommendation for strategic changes to the company’s balance sheet.
Successful candidates will have relevant experience at large financial institutions. They will be required to partner cross-functionally within the organization and across geographies. Candidates for this position are expected to:
Lead and provide guidance to a team of 4–5 analystsDevelop and coach teammates with a focus on coaching and retaining talentPromote a culture of risk excellence by challenging assumptions, escalating potential issues and executing required controls to support oversight and governance requirementsWork closely with teammates and key business partners to analyze impacts to corporate and material legal entity NII forecasts and IRR metrics from different balance sheet strategiesApply knowledge/skills handling complex problems and/or coordinating work which may extend beyond own area of expertise; share expertise with colleagues and other departmentsKey Responsibilities & Experience Range

7-10 years in financial services, Treasury experience preferredBachelor’s degree required, postgraduate degree preferredAttention to detailAbility to influence others and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills; effective at presenting results to key stakeholders including senior management and external regulatorsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in addition to other reporting visualization tools; experience with QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) preferredState Street's Speak Up Line
