The University of Miami has a great opportunity for a Treasury Analyst 2 to work at the Coral Gables Campus.

The Treasury Analyst 2 will support a number of departmental functions relating to the Office of Investments and Treasury in the Debt Management area, including assistance with the maintenance of the University’s debt portfolio, assistance with the University’s equipment leasing program, and additional ad hoc projects.  Additionally, he/she will assist in ensuring post issuance compliance requirements are met for the debt portfolio.  This position reports directly to the Director of Treasury.

Assist with maintenance of inventory of outstanding debt portfolio.

Assist with maintenance of inventory of outstanding bond funded capital projects, including monthly monitoring of capital spend.

Gathers data for the debt portfolio post issuance compliance, including annual updates to rating agencies.

Provide support in annual audit of private business use in tax exempt financed facilities.

Assist in processing and maintaining debt service for the University, including debt service payments, accounting, financial reporting, and debt service records.

Assist in pre and post bond issue items.  May include, but not limited to, debt application, due diligence requirements, amortization schedule, premium & discount schedule, issuance cost analysis, bridge financing schedules, and draw down schedules.

Provide support in maintaining the University-wide internal leases/loans with departments and assist in processing new internal leases/loans, as needed.

Supports the University-wide equipment lease program covering the entire life cycle of a lease, including, but not limited to, analyzing lease terms to find the most economic option, pre and post leasing items, billing and payment issues, end of term requirements, and provide support for the University’s leasing software, LeaseCalcs.

Assist the office with data and metrics that drive performance and position reporting.

Assist in year-end assignments for the fiscal year end reporting and annual university internal audit.

Updates access to online banking systems and obtain supervisory approvals as required.

Perform reconciliation of the cash portfolio and budget variations.

Assist in establishing and maintaining procedures, policies and goals of the department.

Perform ad hoc and special project analysis as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrate strong project management, organizational, quantitative and financial analytic skills.

Advanced level of proficiency with computer programs, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet research.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required.

Strong numeric and modeling skills.

High moral and professional character.

Ability to work in a small team environment and independently.

Knowledge of University systems preferred (Workday, LeaseCalcs).

Ability to work in a complex environment with the skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines, set priorities, and achieve stated goals.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation/LICENSURE requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.  An MBA is a plus.

WORK Experience REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) to four (4) years of relevant experience.
