Treasury Analyst

This position will play an integral role in the Carnival Cruise Line's daily processing of critical multi-million dollar electronic payments for CCL and the Corporation as well as the month-end closing process, including: the creation of banking templates; input of electronic payments in banking system; vessel funding / deposits logistics; analyze invoices for payment;  check run; conducting payment research; assist with auditors requests; journal entry preparation; balance sheet reconciliations; communication with banking institutions; interaction with many different levels of the organization including but not limited to individuals in Global treasury and treasury employees at other Opcos. The treasury analyst position requires attention to detail and sense of urgency working in a dynamic and complex environment as CCL treasury manages ~80 bank accounts across as many as ~7 different entities with high visibility across all levels of upper management in CCL and the Corporation.

Essential Functions:

Analyze and execute daily multi-million treasury transactions such as: Wire and ACH payments, FX trades, check runs, cash requirements forecasting and funding. Maintain and provide to Corporate Treasury investment schedule for cash requirement forecasting and to manage investments.  Prepare bi-weekly and ad hoc vessel funding to each of the ships based on requests from Casino and Shipboard Finance. Coordinate transportation and delivery of funds to ships. Analyze requests for direct payments (i.e. armored car services, bank fee invoices), check for accuracy and conformity to established fees.  Transmit vendor pipeline payments to the banking institutions and research rejections to amend/void vendor payments. Daily interaction with different levels of the organization (including but not limited to individuals at ABG treasury and treasury employees at other Opcos) to execute payments.  Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and posting of multi-million recurring and adjusting journal entries.  Implementation of process improvements by assisting in identifying inefficiencies. Participate in automation initiatives and subsequent management of automation process.  Assist with special projects as needed, including but not limited to new funding requirements, treasury workstation and opening of new entities and bank accounts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance degree Minimum 3-5 years previous treasury experience preferred (e.g. executing wire payments, dealing with banks, foreign currency transactions etc.) Strong analytical skills as well as a creative thinker and solutions oriented to execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills working with many different departments and varying levels of management. Strong balance sheet reconciliation and basic understanding of Inter-company accounts and journal entry preparation is a plus.  Banking, Treasury or Cruise Line experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with Oracle Financial Systems. Basic skills MS Office Products (Word, Excel)

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “remote.”  As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration.  Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival’s remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas.  If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S. states:  FL, GA, TX and NC
