SUMMARY:
Controls cash by handling wires, ACH, and cashiers check payments provided by various teams. Assist other treasury analysts, as needed, by analyzing requirements, monitoring account balances, developing and maintaining cash systems. Provides for the most efficient use of the company’s cash by updating & assisting in preparation of cash forecasting & monitoring fair pricing for bank services. Assist in managing a variety of store-related projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Experience in a Treasury/Banking position preferable. Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, and Access. Knowledge or experience with current treasury management system, Kyriba, a plus. Experience with banking systems and forecasting preferred. Must be extremely attentive to details, with a follow-through attitude. Must possess a high degree of integrity and sense of responsibility. Must have excellent phone skills and strong team/customer service orientation. Must be flexible and able to quickly respond to complicated, time sensitive situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately maintain store and bank lists: tracking new stores, raise and rebuilds, acquisitions, closures, alignment changes, etc.Maintain current contact with banking relationships and be intermediary contact for Stores Accounting team.Handles inquiries from store managers and other business unit personnel regarding banking services.Assist with change ordering and provisional credit setups for smart safes. Responsible for handling wire transfers, tax ACH debits, cashier check requests, and consolidating bank funds in depository accounts.Maintain accurate records of bank accounts, required forms, and documents.Track any invoices retrieved and submit them accordingly to Accounts Payable team.Order bank supplies for stores as neededMaintains financial security by following internal controls.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Special Projects as assigned.Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley act (SOX) audit record keeping and procedures.BACKUP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process payment batches approved by AP; ACH, payment service, and handling checks.Maintain appropriate records for payment batches processed.Void checks, place stop pay on checks, and void returned ACH/EFT payments on multiple accounts.Determines daily cash position, utilizing multiple bank systems and reports.Responsible for forecasting cash position daily and following up on unusual payments/receipts to ensure accuracy of information.Analyzes financial results and prepares selected variance analyses for parent company daily.Monitors bank account balances to ensure maximization of cash earnings potential.Prepares month end journal entry details related to cash activity for Financial Reporting department.Audits bank supplies vendor's monthly auto shipment file for banking and store information accuracy.#LI-KK1
