Who we are looking for
Asset Liability Management (ALM), a division of Global Treasury, is responsible for managing the corporate balance sheet strategy, the net interest income (NII) forecast and our interest rate risk positioning and analysis. The team focuses on optimizing the risk/reward relationship by recommending strategies for sustaining and growing NII while being mindful of regulatory constraints and the company’s risk appetite. ALM routinely collaborates with other areas across the company including Global Treasury, Finance, Risk and the firm’s business units.
What you will be responsible for
The Assistant Vice President will be working closely with our forecasting and/or interest rate risk teams on our monthly reporting and analytical processes. He/she will partner with peers in ALM and collaborate with key business stakeholders to support the company’s balance sheet strategy. The candidate is responsible for communicating results, highlighting risks and providing insights for senior management.
As Balance Sheet Analyst you will:
With inputs from business units across the bank, produces a monthly balance sheet and NII forecast using Quantitative Risk Management (QRM)Produce valuation and earnings rate risk sensitivity metrics against established thresholdsIdentify and attribute key drivers of the balance sheet and NII forecast, reporting on key differences relative to prior iterationsProvides analytical support to drive key balance sheet initiativesDevelops and shares presentation materials for working groups and committee presentationsSupports the quarterly earnings process through analyzing actual trends and providing insights into the outlookParticipates in stress testing efforts as neededResponds in a timely and accurate manner to ad-hoc requestsCollaborates effectively with other team members across ALM, Treasury, Finance and business unitsEducation & Preferred Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in financial services, Treasury experience preferredProven ability to solve problems and improve existing processesAbility to grasp new concepts in fast-paced environmentSuccessfully partners across teams and works well independentlyBreak down complex topics into clear, concise explanations and presentationsStrong quantitative aptitude/skillsExperience with QRM modeling and production preferredKnowledge of financial markets and the banking regulatory environmentAdvanced Excel and Power PointMinimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or quantitative disciplineAre you the right candidate? Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
