Description Job Title: Treasury & Balance Sheet Strategies Graduate Rotational Program Location: Boston, MA; Johnston, RI Responsibilities The Treasury and Balance Sheet Strategies Graduate Rotational Program is a unique development opportunity within Citizens’ Treasury Department for versatile graduate students who seek to become future leaders within banking and finance. You'll accelerate the development of analytical, communication, and project management skills as well as gain foundational financial analysis skills and core knowledge of bank treasury. Crafted for final-year graduate students, this is an 18-month, full-time program that offers a robust onboarding, on-the-job training, critical project responsibilities, mentorship, and an opportunity to complete three 6-month rotational assignments through various Treasury teams. You will learn the Treasury function, gain insight into the inner workings of a large financial institution, connect with senior leaders, and develop transferable skills. You may be assigned to any of the following Treasury-related areas for rotations: + Funding & Liquidity + Asset/Liability Management + Capital Markets, Treasury Investments, and Hedging + Balance Sheet Optimization + Deposit Strategy + Capital Strategy & Analytics Sample of specific responsibilities, which will depend on Treasury rotations: + Building and maintaining an analytical model that describes the projected balance and interest income and expense for one or more product portfolios. + Assisting in the design and execution of a range of transactions to handle interest rate risk, including use of derivative instruments. + Analyzing secured and unsecured funding sources and developing efficient strategies to address the bank’s funding and liquidity objectives. + Leading analytical projects within the Deposit Strategy team evaluating the bank’s spectrum of funding sources across its deposit franchise and wholesale funding sources, in addition to conducting peer comparisons. + Preparing pro forma financial analyses on various asset and liability balance sheet initiatives, including developing insights and recommendations for management. Required Qualifications: + Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy + Outstanding written and oral presentation skills + Ability to plan and prioritize workload + Successfully complete a video interview assessment within 7 days of receiving the link.
