SUMMARY

We are always looking for ways to better our strategies and broaden our horizons, which is why we are excited to offer an opportunity for a Summer 2025 Treasury Organization Internship at our Raleigh campus. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. The position will support a series of projects involving financial analysis, reporting, transaction execution and research. Each internship may be involved in one or more of the following areas:   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Treasury Operations:

Daily cash management process, including prior day reporting, cash positioning and investment and debt decision making

Participate in corporate banking, debt and investment management, supply chain onsite meetings

Develop and implement projects focused on continuous improvement of Treasury processes including but not limited to bank fee analysis, bank account rationalization and workflow efficiency realization

Strategic Payment Solutions:

Participate in team meetings, including coordinating with vendors and bank partners

Generate payment solution reporting and dashboards for distribution across the store network and Field Leadership to assist with process improvement

Assist with the execution of project tasks related to new payment solutions focused on delivering efficiencies and improvement to company-wide payment processes

Collaborate with team, business, and IT partners to gather requirements for potential new payment solutions and assist with the analysis and documentation

Corporate Card and Expense:

Timely preparation/compilation of enterprise-wide company card monthly spend metrics

Design, develop, implement, test, and support new data reporting solutions

Generate ad hoc reports and dashboards for Corporate Card expenditures to be distributed to various leaders and functions within the enterprise

Collaborate with business and IT partners and Finance Leadership to gather requirements and assist with the automation of data collection, analysis and communication

Corporate Credit and Accounts Receivable:

Assist in creating enterprise reporting for corporate credit customers

Create Microsoft PowerBI dashboards providing daily updates to the Advance Auto Parts stores networks including automation of data updates

Establish customer payment trend analysis reporting and compare against corporate KPI’s

Participate in analysis and discussions of key strategic customer accounts

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Current students pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across different teams and functions

Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Proactive approach to assignments with the ability to work independently

This position is located in Raleigh, NC. The program dates are June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025.
