Treasury Stress Testing, Assistant Vice President

The successful candidate is a team player, has relevant large financial institution experience and can deliver clear, well-structured communications, including presentations to internal constituents, bank committees and regulators. 

Why this role is important to us

Global Treasury plays a critical role in State Street’s organization, both from a business-as-usual (BAU) perspective and with regard to regulatory capital requirements. Functional areas include capital planning and forecasting, stress testing, recovery and resolution planning and project management. The Stress Testing role plays a key part in sizing of capital requirements through forecasting Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) under an array of stress scenarios.

What you will be responsible for

As a Stress Testing Forecasting Analyst you will

Maintain and develop quantitative models and forecasting tools for State Street's revenue and expenses, aiding in the management of State Street’s capital position for stress testing purposesCoordinate and support stress testing execution processes by running quantitative and forecasting models, producing results, and communicating outcomes to senior managementDevelop coherent presentations and other communications to facilitate management decision making, and clearly document key decisions & feedback from committee review and challengeCoordinate with peers, business unit representatives and corporate functions within and outside of Treasury, to ensure timely execution of departmental deliverablesUnderstand key regulatory and business drivers of State Street's major segments and their impact on overall Treasury and corporate wide risk metrics and performanceRecommend and initiate continuous improvements across existing processes and tools, and respond to and coordinate with oversight partners to enhance governance and oversightWork with IT and other support functions to document business requirements and ensure forecasting methodologies are appropriately implemented in production systemsComplete ad-hoc assignments as needed, and demonstrate willingness to work collaboratively with other team members to meet departmental objectives on or ahead of schedule

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related fields4-6 years of financial services experience, consulting experience or other relevant experience in financial institutions, with knowledge of treasury risk-based banking regulations preferred

Additional requirements

Basic skills in statistical or analytical modeling languages such as R, Python, SAS, SQL will be considered a plus.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
