This exciting position is vital to our TM team, as in this position, your main responsibility is to host engaging webinar sessions with our commercial treasury clients to help them maximize the benefits of the treasury solutions we offer. \n

Primary Responsibilities: \n\nHost webinars for commercial clients to train and provide education on our many treasury management solutions \nDevelop learning materials (e-learning, job aids, videos, presentations, etc.) \nAssist the sales team and other internal departments by providing demos and training on our TM solutions \n\n

Your day as a Treasury Training Specialist:\n

As a Treasury Training Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you will spend most of your day engaging in dynamic training calls with customers who have recently acquired one of our treasury products. Your role as the frontline expert is crucial, as you will interact directly with the individuals who will be utilizing the software. This means you'll focus on understanding the different roles within client organizations, identify what matters most to each user, and then guide them through the intricacies of our services. Your mission is to help them grasp the benefits our treasury solution and become a successful and enthusiastic user of the product. \n

You'll also get the opportunity to help develop and maintain support materials, such as job aids and videos, to help learners build their mastery post-training. In addition to customer training, you'll provide sales support with product demos, assist with internal training of Mercantile employees, and partner with our Digital & Product teams to assist with user acceptance testing for system upgrades.\n

With your strong communication skills and problem-solving mindset, you will help our treasury clients optimize their treasury products and troubleshoot on the fly if needed.\n

Requirements for this role:\n

To thrive as a Full-Time Treasury Training Specialist at Mercantile Bank, candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored to our customer-centric mission. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a role where you primarily provided training to end users or other employees, or 4+ years of experience in a technical customer service role ideally within a financial\/technical software-driven industry. While we find education important and a bachelor's degree is preferred, equivalent experience in a training specific role will strengthen your candidacy. \n

Successful applicants should demonstrate a keen ability to distill complex information into digestible content and any experience using e-learning tools or video editing software would be ideal. Creativity is crucial, as you will need to adapt training materials to address specific customer needs dynamically. Strong troubleshooting skills and a quick learning aptitude will enable you to effectively communicate the nuances of our systems. Excellent communication skills are vital for managing customer expectations and ensuring seamless onboarding for both new and existing clients. Time management proficiency will be key to setting up workflows that align with customer needs.\n

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:\n\nA bachelor's degree or certifications in instructional design\/education, HR \/ training, or another business-related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience in instructional design\/education, HR \/ training, or another business-related field\n2+ years of experience in a training role preferred OR 4+ years of client-facing experience within a financial\/technical software driven industry\nStrong computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nFamiliarity with collaboration technologies such as Webex or Microsoft Teams \nCompetence with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and presentations\nStrong presentation and communication skills\nProven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders\nAbility to translate technical concepts into accessible client training\n\n

Desired Skills:\n\nPrior experience in Treasury Management \nE-learning creation experience with platforms like Articulate Rise & Storyline, Captivate, or Lectora\nVideo creation experience with platforms such as Camtasia, Clipchamp, or Premiere Pro, desired\n\n
