Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury subject matter expert to play a pivotal role in finance-wide business transformation initiatives. This role will ensure that treasury functions are effectively integrated and optimized within broader finance transformation projects, collaborating extensively with Transformation Management Office and cross-functional teams at Rivian on these initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in treasury operations, cash management, digital transformation, process automation, and system implementations. The opening will be located in our Palo Alto, CA office and report to the Manager, Treasury Operations. Responsibilities The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: Treasury SME: serve as the subject matter expert for treasury within finance transformation initiatives, ensuring treasury operations, policies, and controls are effectively incorporated Assess impact on Treasury functions: provide expert guidance on the effects of system changes and process redesigns on key treasury activities, including cash management, liquidity planning, banking structures, FX risk management, etc. Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance and accounting, external bank partners and vendors, to align on requirements and deliver seamless technology integration. Represent Treasury’s interest and requirements in cross-functional transformation projects such as A/R, A/P, intercompany transactions, and others UAT participation: support in the design and review of treasury scenarios and scripts for User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”), and perform UAT as Treasury SME Process optimization: analyze existing Treasury processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and improved accuracy Risk management: ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards throughout the transformation projects Training and knowledge transfer: provide training and guidance to finance teams on new treasury processes and system functionalities to drive adoption and efficiency Market insights: stay informed about trends and innovations in treasury technology to recommend future transformation opportunities and innovative treasury solutions Qualifications 7+ years of experience in treasury, with exposure to payment operations and system automations Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or similar fields. MBA or CTP is a plus Strong knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and other treasury tools and familiarity with treasury technology solutions and implementations. Familiarity with SAP and SAP TMS a plus. Strong understanding of cash management, bank technology, liquidity forecasting, foreign exchange, and payments processes Demonstrated ability to work on complex, cross-functional projects in a global corporate environment, and ability to lead treasury-related workstreams in transformation projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Pay Disclosure Salary Range for CA based applicants: $149,700 - $187,100 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
