Treatment Coordinator of Dental – Brooklyn

Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Treatment Coordinator of Dental – Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate Coordinates patient care in the Department of Dental Medicine. Works with all providers to assist the patient in completion of their treatment plan.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinates alllevels of  patient care 

Coordinates eventsthat focus on patient education, screening and intervention

Point ofcontact  during the pre-authorization process with the patient andinsurance companies 
Acts as a facilitatoron behalf of the Department to adjudicate patient care issues
Ensure appropriateassignment of patients to providers and monitors care to ensure positiveclinical outcomes

Manages the highlevel internal and external components  of referral services 

Prepares statisticalreports on services provided
Develops, inconjunction with clinical staff, patient education models and programs 

Reviews(administratively) treatment plans to ensure completeness and accuracy
Acts as a liaisonbetween the dental resident and the dental attending as it relates to tx coordination activities

Other duties as assigned

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a B.A or B.S required OR 3 years of experience in clinical care coordination and/or treatment coordination
Patient interaction care coordination

Preferred Qualifications:
FQHC or Hospital experience preferred

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,219.83 – $60,137.02 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
