Treatment Family Home Provider

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Incumbent provides administrative oversight for the Treatment Family Home program which serves clients in various geographical areas within the State of Missouri. Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising all Professional Parent and Treatment Family Home Providers who care for children with behavioral health needs and determined to need short-term care in a structured home setting. Ensures providers are compliant with State Department of Behavioral Health licensure, contract, and documentation standards and provide quality care for the children and youth in placement.

Essential Job Functions:Recruit and trains appropriate treatment family home and professional parent homes in the assigned geographical area.Arrange for and/or completes application, home study, and State/Police Department/Reference checks on applicants. Ensures applicants comply with preliminary licensure and state inspection standards and training requirements.Recruit and trains appropriate respite care providers in the geographical area.  Arrange for and/or completes initial application, home study, and DFS/Police Department/reference checks. Ensure compliance with inspection and training standards.Supervise team members and Respite providers in the geographical area through regular home visits, the monthly team meeting, state monitoring, and other contacts as directed by the treatment team.Arrange for and coordinate placement of eligible children and youth in program homes. Coordinates with team members in other departments, case managers and team members from other community mental health centers, team members from the Regional state office and facilities, treatment family and respite providers, and family/guardian of child/youth.Ensures program efficiency and accountability through submission of prompt and accurate reports regarding program operations. Includes review and collection of provider billing documentation and monthly/annual program reports. Participates in regular development and review of program goals and objectives.Budgetary oversite and contractual expectations. Bill allowable services provided and follows agency documentation timeliness requirements.Initiate, monitor, and manage monthly billing to the state and other Community Mental Health Centers in the geographical area for program services. Works closely with the Business Office and the state Regional Office to assure accurate and timely payments.Ensure quality standards are maintained and providers follow licensure, documentation, training and contract standards.Facilitate interagency communication by attending treatment meetings, Department meetings, and individual supervision.Ensure agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.Crisis backup for case managers for children and youth in Treatment Family and Respite Care.Provide consultation/education for community agencies by attending events and meetings.All other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social work, counseling or closely related human services field preferred.Previous experience in supervising others preferred. ORAny four-year degree and two years of qualifying experience; ORAn individual with four years of qualifying experience including:  two years working with youth and families Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations: None required.

Employment Requirements:

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:
