The ideal candidate will play a vital role in helping our patients understand and move forward with large, comprehensive treatment plans.
Position Overview:
As a Treatment Plan Coordinator, you will be responsible for presenting large treatment plan options to patients, explaining the various treatment options in detail, and facilitating the coordination of care. You will work closely with our dentists and office team to ensure a smooth patient experience from the first consultation to the completion of their treatment. This includes offering financial assistance options through third-party financing if needed.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Pre-Appointment Care Calls: Contact patients prior to their first appointment to confirm details and provide any necessary pre-treatment instructions.Patient Education: Provide detailed explanations of the proposed treatment plans, often exceeding $50,000, using your dental knowledge to ensure the patient fully understands the procedures, benefits, and expected outcomes.Treatment Plan Presentation: Present large and complex treatment plans in a way that is clear, compassionate, and patient-centered, ensuring all questions are answered and options are fully explored.Follow-Up Calls: Make follow-up calls supporting the 2:2:2 method to patients who have not scheduled recommended treatment, answer any further questions, and assist in rescheduling or coordinating the next steps.X-Ray and Diagnostic Support: Take necessary X-rays during patient appointments to help assess treatment needs and work with the doctor to confirm the appropriate treatment options.Financing Assistance: Present third-party financing options when needed to help them afford recommended treatments.Patient Advocacy: Act as the patient’s advocate to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed. Build strong relationships and offer excellent customer service throughout the treatment process.Documentation & Record Keeping: Accurately enter treatment details into patient records, ensuring that treatment plans are documented and tracked correctly. QualificationsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assistant or office management background preferred.Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting, ideally in treatment coordination or patient care.Knowledge of dental terminology and treatment procedures is strongly preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complextreatment plans in an easy-to-understand manner.Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar) is a plus.Ability to work well in a team environment, ensuring seamless collaboration with doctors
