Job Description

- Interact with caregivers, patients, and family members in a positive manner to help build and maintain strong relationships.

- Problem solve and assist customers to meet or exceed patient needs and safety.

- Assist Pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.

- Interact with customers, physicians, clinic staff, and facility staff professionally.

- Gather appropriate information to properly process a patient's prescription.

- Maintain accurate records of medication and equipment dispensed to patients.

- Ensure accurate entry of patient data into pharmacy software programs.

- Enter correct insurance information into the system and ensure claims are properly adjudicated.

- Interact with co-workers, pharmacists, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

- Secure protected health information and required paperwork.

- Process customer payments for prescriptions and charges on account.

- Maintain sufficient prescription inventory levels when ordering products for the pharmacy.

- Receive and store incoming products and supplies, including counting, stocking, and entering computer data.

- Perform Triage Pharmacy Technician Duties as well as Home Lead duties.

Qualifications

- Pharmacy Technician with 2 plus years of experience

- Good Customer service skills

- Proficient with electronic pharmacy programs and experience supporting customers over the phone

- Must be able to problem solve and solutions minded

- Must register with the State of Wisconsin as a Pharmacy Technician

Work EnvironmentMonday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The position requires 1 late shift per week. That shift typically goes until 8 p.m.About Actalent
