Job Description Summary

The Tribal Court Security Officer is responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the safety of the tribal courthouse and its occupants. Enforces court security procedures in accordance with Tribal Court procedures under the direction of the Tribal Court Administrator.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Ensure the integrity of all tribal court procedures. Immediately report suspicious or unusual activities to the proper department supervisor. Perform security patrols of the building. Assist in monitoring traffic as required. Maintain and control access to restricted areas. Check-in and check-out visitors and vendors. Perform a pat-down search when visual and device inspections do not/cannot provide an adequate level of security screening. Perform first aid and CPR/AED as required. Work with local police, fire, or emergency medical teams as necessary. Accept any found property, keys, badges, and tags for safekeeping. Responsible for keeping key records and issuing keys. Complete security incident reports for injured visitors, vendors, or team members at the Tribal Court House. Monitor and record activity occurring via CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) Update daily activity log to include all incidents. Effectively use a two-way radio during normal situations and emergencies. Required to deny individuals entrance to the courthouse when a person does not cooperate with security screening procedures. Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures
