JOB ADVERT TROLLEY TECHNICIAN , ONE ( 1 ) Department: - Supply Chain Reports to: - Permanent Way Team Leader Location: - Magadi Terms: - Fixed Term PURPOSE OF THE JOB This position is responsible for ensuring reliable and safe running of motor trolleys by carrying out preventive maintenance and timely repairs. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on motor trolleys. • Carry out weekly services and minor repairs on the shunting locomotive. • Raise purchase requisition for spare parts. • Raise materials reservation from stores. • Follow up with the Procurement De partment for parts delivery. • Maintain records of equipment maintenance. • Share updates of maintenance records with the Locomotive Maintenance Team Leader • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor . KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE • A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent. • Class I Trade Test Certificate in diesel locomotive maintenance. • At least 4 years’ experience in maintenance of diesel locomotives or motor trolleys.
