**Job Title: Truck Assembly Mechanic Lead**
**Job Description**
We are currently seeking a Lead Truck Equipment Installers to join our team. As a Lead Truck Equipment Installer, you will be responsible for manufacturing and installing various parts on service trucks, including tool boxes, racks, and more. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in mechanics, welding, and fabrication. **Responsibilities**
+ Install service bodies, platforms, dumps, van packages, hoists, cranes, and PTO's according to blueprints and electrical diagrams.
+ Read and interpret blueprint specifications and electrical wire diagrams.
+ Work with various hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks.
+ Office suite
+ Read orders
+ 95% standing/walking, 5% sitting
+ Get in/out of vehicles consistently
+ Inspect workmanship on vehicles
+ Crouch, stand, lie down, climb into, and bend over checking the workmanship
+ Communicate findings clearly and concisely
+ Manage and use a pareto chart
+ Preferred previous leadership role or skills
+ Highly experienced mechanic
+ Body upfitter experience is a plus
+ ASE certifications is a preferred plus
+ Field technician or PM Lube tech a plus
**Essential Skills**
+ 5 plus years of automotive mechanic and mechanical assembly experience plus experience being in a leadership role.
+ Experience with blueprint specifications and electrical wire diagrams.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Experience in MIG welding is a plus (training available if needed).

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes open shop doors, leading to hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter. The first shift hours are typically from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional 10-hour shifts and some Saturdays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garner, North Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00
