SUMMARY
Bering Global Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Medium Truck Driver for Base Supply Services Contract at Hurlburt Field, FL. The purpose of this position is to perform limited aspects of technical supply and transportation management work related to interface with depot, local or other supply and transportation customer activities. Work is segregated by function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments relate to standardized segments of technical supply and transportation management operations within Air Force Base sections that include Asset Management. This work includes use of the Integrated Logistics System – Supply (ILS-S), Enterprise Solution – Supply (ES-S) and Asset Management. Unless otherwise noted in the contract statement of work, all paragraphs in Air Force 23 and 24 Series publications relating to assigned functional area are binding contractual services and required employee duties. General working hours are day shift (0700 – 1600), however, personnel may be required to work other shifts or be assigned other duties in response to a wide array of operational situations as they arise. Responsible for work center cleanliness. A 90 day probationary period is mandatory.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates straight trucks to include step vans, 1.5-ton stake truck (with lift gate), in a safe and efficient manner over roadways during various environmental conditions.An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, i.e. Logistics Readiness SquadronGood working knowledge of governing supply and transportation systems, programs, policies, work methods and guidanceAbility to define or recognize the whole problem or program involved, to collect necessary data, establish facts, and take or recommend actions based on application or interpretation of established guidelinesWork within a framework of established supply and transportation guidance, policies, procedures, or other governing logistics management guidelinesCoordinate with internal and external base supply customers concerning program/customer requirementsComplete a daily pre-trip vehicle inspection checklist (AF Form 1800) before first delivery of the day, recording and reporting any defects or malfunctionsVerify contents of inventory loads against delivery listPractice safe and secure loading methods to avoid damaging assetsOperate material handling equipment as requiredFollow established routes and time schedules for delivering of assets to base customersFollow DOT/OSHA/USAF regulations and safety standardsResponsible for prompt reporting of accidents/incidents, injuries, and hazardous situations and violations to the Project Manager or Material Coordinator Lead.Use provided computer software/hardware to deliver assets to base customers and maintaining a clear audit trail QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must have and maintain a security clearance commensurate with property movements and computer systems accessed. Normally, a SECRECT clearance.Minimum 4 years U.S. Air Force Base Supply and/or Transportation experienceMust obtain and maintain Flight Line Driving Permit (training obtained upon hiring).Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area badge to access flight line aircraft parking areas for property deliveries (obtained upon hiring).Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs. and be familiar with cargo tie-down and security procedures.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player; ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.Must be able to operate material handling equipment to include a 6,000 lb. forklift and maintain proficiency.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.High school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external base customers and co-workersProficient in interpreting data, supply and transportation management historical informationSkilled in Microsoft suite of programsProficient in use of ILS-S, ES-S, Asset Management and/or other Automated Individual Equipment SystemsPreferred
Minimum of 10 years of U.S. Air Force Base Supply and/or Transportation related workAssociates Degree in U.S. Air Force Logistics Management, Air Force Traffic Management and or Supply Chain Management.Knowledge/experience with Air Force requirements pertaining to Vehicle Operations, Documented Cargo Movement.Knowledge/experience of various programs, i.e., Receipt for Classified List; Delinquent Document management; Equipment Accountability Personnel ListExperience with U.S. Air Force Vehicle Operations practices, procedures and applicable governing guidance.

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for lifting weights of 50 LBS, bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed in an outdoor and office settings with exposure to computer screens, tablets and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system and inclement weather. There are extended periods of walking, standing and bending and able to lift materials of varied weights. The work described herein is performed in non-climatically controlled warehouses and outdoor environments to include periods of high heat.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
