What You'll Do
In the role of Tractor Trailer Driver, your duties will include:
Receive and Follow Directions: Report to the Foreman or General Foreman to receive assignments, instructions, and directions for daily activities.
Plan Work Activities: Read and interpret provided instructions and documentation to effectively plan and organize work activities.
Operate Company Vehicles: Safely operate company vehicles with a capacity of up to 30 tons to transport materials, tools, and equipment between work locations, supporting construction and maintenance activities.
Materials Transfer: Drive between warehouses to deliver operating materials and supplies, ensuring that items are transported safely and efficiently.
Load and Unload Vehicles: Manage the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is secure during transit and handled safely upon arrival.
Adhere to Safety Protocols: Strictly observe all safety rules and procedures, including the use of required personal safety equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: Ensure that all operated vehicles and equipment are maintained in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors as necessary.
Perform Directed Duties: Complete additional duties and activities as directed by supervisors, which may vary according to specific job site requirements.
Document Activities: Keep accurate records of all logistics and transport activities, including details of routes taken, materials transported, and time schedules, to support efficient operations and reporting.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Tractor Trailer Driver experience managing similar projects of size, scope and complexity.
High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
Must AUS NV-1 or US Secret Clearance.
Hold and maintain the appropriate license (HR - Heavy Rigid) necessary for operating large vehicles, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of information and telecommunication management professionals.
Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.
Ability to maximize services and capabilities, provisioned as a service.
Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of Tractor Trailer Driver experience managing similar projects of size, scope and complexity.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
