Truck Driver-1

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Warehouses raw materials and finished products.  Loads out-going trucks with finished product.  Receives incoming purchased goods.  Shuttles product to and from warehouses.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Check stock inventory physically and update into system to validate that restocking is in order.Drives truck to and from warehousesLoads and unloads finished goods and packagingReceives incoming raw materials and draws samples (see also Incoming Inspection and Testing Procedure)Moves bulk supplied raw materials from railcars to silo storagePerforms duties in accordance with the Handling, Storage QOPProperly stores and keeps records of regrind and globsAssists in Production Department when neededPerforms other duties required by the QMS, as assignedConducts duties according to plant safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum high school education, or equivalent, and 2 to 5 years related experienceCDL A driver’s license, no restrictionsMinimum of 1 year experience transporting, hooking up/ off a 53’ box trailerUnderstanding of plant safety rules and regulations, particularly the Hazard Communication programComputer skillsCurrent fork truck certification

Physical Requirements:

Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbsAbility to work in 100 degree environment (summer months)
