As a truck driver with UFP, you will play a key role in keeping UFP’s commitment to exceed customer expectations delivering cargo safely and efficiently.

 

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age Must have valid and current Commercial Driver’s License  Minimum 12th grade basic education completed Minimum 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 26,000 lbs Must not have any DOT recordable accidents in the past three years Must be able to pass a physical examination (DOT required). Position includes lifting (50 -75 lbs), pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, walking, bending at the waist, handling of material.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive local routes that have you home after every shift Operate commercial vehicles up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. Complete required driving log on highly developed ELD system Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment Secure loads and/or inspect loads to ensure proper securement Performs duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT, and Company rules and regulations Maintains appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required Verifies shipping documents for accuracy, and obtains customer’s signature on paperwork upon delivery Completes training as required by management
