Receives direction from the supervisor and notifies the supervisor when more work is needed Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues. Conducts safety and maintenance checks on trucks and trailers. Reports maintenance problems to Maintenance Department and schedules outside maintenance as needed. Maintains the appearance of vehicles through routine washing. Operates forklift as needed. Loads trucks and trailers in a safe and logical fashion. Ensures that loads are secured properly and that the load complies with all highway limitations and regulations. Ensures that loads are protected when needed; i.e., tarps. Locates delivery points and confers with customer as to where deliveries are to be made. Assists in unloading as needed. Obtains necessary documentation from customers. Completes and maintains all documentation in accordance with ICC regulations. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent. 18 months related experience preferred. Class A Driver’s License. Clean MVR Ability to adjust to changing demands to meet production goals. Strong attention to detail and record of driving safely. Personable demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service both internal and external.
