Summary of the Position: The truck driver operates JBSS vehicles to deliver and pick up product.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Delivers and picks up JBSS orders. Transfers products between JBSS facilities. Acts as a liaison to customers. Picks-up and returns products and raw materials. Checks orders and secures loads on truck. Adheres to local traffic laws. Responsible for vehicle inspection. Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.   Supervisory Responsibility:

Qualifications: Two plus years experience driving trailers.High school diploma or equivalent.Commercial driver’s license with air breaks certification endorsement required.Material handling equipment certification preferred.Ability to maintain a good driving record.Able to speak, write and read English.Ability to operate manual transmission, hand truck, pallet jack and forklifts.Must be able to lift 30 pounds and push 300 pounds (on casters).
