RiverTech is seeking for a Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to transport, distribute, pick-up and transfer client’s assets in the most professional, safe and timely manner.

Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions.

Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. Company will provide phone stipend to support client engagement and use of device to navigate.

To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

Additionally, The Truck Driver drives a truck to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business. This driver may also load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order. Sales route and over-the-road drivers are excluded. An over-the-road driver regularly drives a truck over such a distance that the worker does not return to the departure point in the same workday or is a worker who is paid on a mileage or mileage plus load factor basis and may be compensated for or provided meals or lodging or both.

Responsibilities

Driving Non-CDL Box Truck to various client locations throughout the National Capitol Region (NCR), in around Maryland, to Northern Pennsylvania and to Northern Virginia

Safe and proper use of box truck by following local, state, district and federal driving laws.

Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.

Using navigation apps to determine the best route.

Follow asset distribution, transfer, pickup and relocation instructions per company Warehouse Manager, Scheduler and Operations Manager.

Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.

Drive carefully and undistracted.

Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage.

Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions.

Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.

Report box truck service and maintenance requirements and or concerns to the Warehouse Manager, Dep Program Manager, Operations Manager and Program Manager.

Assist Warehouse Manager in scheduling regular car service appointments and report any issues.

Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the Box Truck.

Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states.

Load and unload cargo.

Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.

Take orders for new deliveries.

Drive long distances.

Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.

Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.

Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.

Follow all applicable traffic laws.

Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.

Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.

Keep a log of their activities.

Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.

Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.

Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.

Get goods to client on time.

Take rest periods during trip.

Take special precautions while driving.

Maintain log of trips.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Active Secret clearance must be US citizen.
