Job Description:
This position is responsible for transporting materials containing various items while maintaining safety standards in the area. The position is also responsible for loading and unloading items with a forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport product within a certain radius to offsite locations while also loading and unloading the truck with a forklift
Maintain a mileage log
Retain knowledge and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations
Maintain truck operating efficiency, safe operations and clean appearance of truck, reporting any maintenance malfunctions immediately after discovery
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain delivery, truck and driving records
Complete daily shipping manifests, bill of ladings and all paperwork thoroughly and promptly
Unload product of varying size and weight, checking product while unloading with a forklift
Correctly obtain paperwork and signatures upon delivery and return paperwork to Administrator’s office
Perform basic quality inspection of freight prior to shipment
Operate truck and forklift with a high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity to prevent damage of material and equipment
Ability to work in warehouse and fill orders as needed
Keep work area clean and orderly
Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills:
Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements
Pass pre-employment substance abuse test
Valid Class B
Operate an automatic transmission
Pass a pre-employment road test
Possess a valid DOT Medical Card
Pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report
Ability to become certified in forklift operation
Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
Basic computer skills
1 year of commercial driving experience with a truck with air brakes.
Familiarity with region and routes
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Basic math skills
Mechanically inclined
Industrial work experience
Systems: Basic Computer Knowledge
Managerial Responsibilities: None
Travel Requirements: No overnight travel scheduled. Travel will be regional/day travel.
Physical Requirements:
Climb in and out of a truck or forklift multiple times a day
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Push/pull 100 lbs.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
Ability to bend and wrap pallets
Ability to move items with use of a pallet jack
Work in a non-climate controlled environment
Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $19.50 - $23.50. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
