Truck Installer
**Job Title: Truck Body Installer** **Job Description** Candidates will be installing wrecker bodies onto trucks by mounting subframes and side beds onto the truck. This role involves using a variety of hand and power tools and working off prints. Additionally, candidates will perform custom mechanical and fabrication work, including hydraulic and electrical tasks on tow trucks and wrecker trucks to ensure lights and hydraulics are functioning properly. The job also includes welding, wiring up bodies, and fabricating, but does not involve engine work. **Responsibilities** + Install wrecker bodies onto trucks by mounting subframes and side beds. + Utilize hand and power tools to complete installations. + Work off prints to ensure accurate installations. + Perform custom mechanical and fabrication work. + Conduct hydraulic and electrical work on tow trucks and wrecker trucks. + Ensure lights and hydraulics are operational. + Weld, wire up bodies, and fabricate parts. + Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience as a mechanic. + Own tools including impacts, socket sets (large, 5/8", 1/2"), full wrench set, screwdrivers, etc. + Ability to invest in air tools over time. + Purchase a welding helmet within 60 days. + Valid driver's license for permanent employment. + 2+ years of demonstrated mechanical inclination and troubleshooting ability. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic welding knowledge is highly preferred. + Tools required: wrenches (standard up to 1”, metric up to 19mm), sockets (¼, 3/8, ½ - standard and metric, short and deep), screwdriver set, pliers, side cutters, electric drill, hammer punches, air tools, impacts (½), creeper, welding helmet, and welding jacket. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a laid back, family-owned business environment where employees are well taken care of. Our facilities include a state-of-the-art prep bay and downdraft spray booth, sandblasting, and custom graphic services. Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
