The Truck Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the efficient operation of a fleet of trucks, ensuring compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards. Essential skills and experience + High degree of integrity and trustworthiness + Proven solid work ethic and ability to work independently while still working effectively within a team + Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities + Excellent communication skills required + Excellent customer service skills required + Excellent computer skills required + Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements + Understanding of truck maintenance schedules, repair procedures, and safety inspection protocols + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Conflict resolution skills to handle disputes or concerns + Commitment to company values Reporting to this position: Truck Drivers Position Responsibilities + Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's truck fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition and ready to use. + Assign and schedule drivers based on availability, qualifications, and workload requirements. + Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, addressing concerns or issues promptly. + Ensure drivers comply with company policies and DOT regulations. + Manage truck schedules to meet customer expectations and deadlines. + Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. + Monitor and enforce driver safety protocols, including regular training and updates. + Investigate accidents and coordinate necessary follow-up actions. + Manages, communicates, coordinate purchases, logistics and truck freight positions. + Participate in regular conference calls and communicate relevant plant information regarding logistics. + Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize disruptions to operations + Coordinator of truck grain quality between Scale Operator and Grain Operations Team. + Support scale operations. + Directing trucks to locations with detailed directions to assist with customer service. + Execute logistics plan to move grain to reach destinations of schedule. + Maintain CDL to support truck fleet operations as needed. + Handle disputes or concerns from drivers, customers, and/or other stakeholders diplomatically. + Clear and effectively communicate with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and management to address concerns and provide updates. + Coordinate all communications with third party trucking companies. + Keep track of sales contract balances to ensure obligations are met within expectations. + As a representative of the company, project an image which exemplifies the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of the company. + Other duties as assigned.
