Trucking Operations Supervisor
The Trucking Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the internal truck fleet, owner-operator partnerships, and dispatch team. This role includes a wide range of duties focused on route optimization, compliance, personnel coordination, and operational efficiencies. Primary Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned)  + Ensures the availability of transportation personnel across multiple locations, coordinating with owner-operators and company drivers as needed. + Manages dispatch team and assigns routes based on driver availability, load requirements, and optimal delivery times, ensuring effective coverage at all locations. + Creates and manages route assignments, ensuring that each route is properly planned for maximum efficiency and timely delivery. + Processes account information and coordinates with dispatch to ensure smooth execution of deliveries. + Monitors all deliveries to ensure they are completed effectively and efficiently, identifying any issues in real-time and resolving them promptly. + Maintains accurate vehicle maintenance records, tracking service schedules, repairs, and inspections for all company trucks and owner-operator vehicles. + Ensures that all vehicles comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and contractual requirements. + Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations, including hours-of-service, weight limits, vehicle inspections, driver logs, and licensing. + Evaluates the performance and efficiency of existing transportation operations, identifying any bottlenecks or areas of improvement. + Analyzes delivery times, fuel consumption, vehicle wear and tear, and overall cost-effectiveness to determine the efficiency of current operations. + Implements adjustments and changes to improve delivery efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance the service level to customers. + Keeps detailed records of all transportation operations, including route assignments, delivery completion, and compliance documentation. + Prepares and submits performance reports to upper management to provide insights into operational efficiency, delivery success rates, and any compliance issues. + Works closely with the logistics, dispatch, and fleet maintenance teams to ensure seamless communication and operation between different parts of the company. + Collaborates with the safety and compliance teams to ensure both legal and internal policy requirements are met. + Manages relationships with owner-operators, ensuring they are properly trained on company policies and compliance expectations. + Resolves any issues related to contracts, payments, or performance expectations for owner-operators, keeping them motivated and aligned with company goals. Qualifications: + 3-5 years' experience in the transportation industry + Experience supervising and leading a team  + Organizations skills to plan and optimize transportation across multiple locations + Bilingual in English and Spanish + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
