Responsible for matching customers’ truckload needs to the best carrier, negotiating and booking loads while maximizing profit margins and ensuring exceptional service to our customers. 

Primary Responsibilities

Secure external carriers for available customer loads which may involve negotiating rates, checking MC numbers, verifying current insurance coverage, and ensuring their safety scores meet OD’s vehicle and driver standardsCommunicate accurately and quickly with customers, carriers and other team members by phone and/or emailPost ready loads to the DAT board and ensure that the information is accurate and timelyWithin the assigned territory, “track and trace” all loads and work quickly to resolve any issuesProvide dispatch information to driversComplete work with high degree of accuracy while providing excellent customer service (Service 2.OD) to both internal and external customers

Job Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

3 years of progressive experience in customer service within a trucking/transportation companyStrong attention to detailAbility to work on multiple projects/process at the same timeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.  SAP/AS400 experience preferredDemonstrated negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills
