Trust Accountant - Hybrid
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an experienced Trust Accountant in the entertainment industry, based in Los Angeles, California. As a Trust Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include managing customer accounts, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records. This is a hybrid position, in office: Tuesday & Wednesday; remote: Monday, Thursday, Friday . Responsibilities: • Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications. • Keep customer credit records up to date and accurate. • Handle inquiries from both agents and clients regarding cash receipts and processing corrections. • Coordinate tasks with other Trust Accounting teams to ensure smooth operations. • Resolve any Trust accounting issues in a timely manner with team members. • Carry out refund processes or transfer funds to correct misapplied receipts. • Update bookings and client profiles based on their cash receipts as required. • Attach supporting documents to the relevant payment lines. • Release funds from escrow on the appropriate dates for escrow deals. • Close bookings that have been paid in full and meet specific criteria. • Support improvement projects related to systems and processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records and detecting any discrepancies. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), managing outbound payments and tracking expenditures. • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), overseeing incoming payments and maintaining customer account details. • Expertise in Billing, creating invoices and managing payments received. • Proficient in Data Entry, accurately entering financial information into the company's database. • Experience with Invoice Processing, reviewing and validating invoice details before processing payment. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, creating spreadsheets, charts, and using complex formulas to manage financial data. • Experience with Dynamics GP, utilizing the software for financial management and reporting.
