The Role

The Trust Accounting Associate – Music, provides accounting services for Agents and clients. Accounting services include logging and maintaining booking reports, processing payments and generating invoices. This position will be focused on various accounting tasks and will be responsible for providing accurate, timely accounting information to assist decision-making.

Responsibilities

Apply deposits for upcoming shows/tours to individual bookingsSettle shows  based on agent numbersRelease payments and generate schedules for clientsMaintain and update master release grid (deposits, settling, etc.)Actively collect updates of prior booking reports ("follow-up") and enter them into the systemAttach appropriate supporting documentation to paymentsProvide information as requested by Agent's Offices and CoordinatorsReview unclaimed /held checks/wires to identify resolutionFile documents on a timely basisPerform other accounting tasks as requested by Supervisors and managementEscalate issues, as needed, to the responsible Trust Accounting SupervisorSupport system and process improvement projectsFunds on Hold follow-upOpen booking follow-upInvoice follow-up

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years Accounting experienceEntertainment experience is preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience reconciling accounts, statements, etc. and resolving discrepancies  Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the companyTeam player with a high level of energy, enthusiasmDemonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting prioritiesAbility to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environmentUnimpeachable integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidential informationMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite10-key by touchGood organizational skills; able to multi-taskWill take initiative; ask for more work if needed

Location

This role will be hybrid, based in our Los Angeles office.

Compensation: The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $25.00 - $30.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
