Description Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a highly skilled Trusts & Estates Paralegal or Attorney with expertise in taxation to serve as an Estate Settlement Attorney in Boston. The Estate Administrator supports Trustees and clients by facilitating the settlement of estates and administration of trusts. This position demands an in-depth understanding of estate settlement, probate, legal frameworks, tax compliance, and trust administration. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail are essential. Working independently and effectively managing multiple responsibilities under minimal supervision is imperative. The Estate Administrator will also ensure the utmost discretion when handling confidential financial and personal information. Must have filed estate tax returns. Tax Compliance and Planning: + Prepare federal and state estate or inheritance tax returns and gift tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations. + Generate estate tax projections and analyze planning documents for tax-related insights. Probate and Legal Administration: + Manage probate accounting activities, working with attorneys and probate court personnel to ensure compliance and submission of documentation. + Collaborate with outside counsel on legal matters, including identifying and mitigating legal and tax risks. Client and Trustee Engagement: + Provide exceptional client service through clear communication of complex estate planning and tax concepts. + Proactively address trustees’ needs, offering guidance on settlement timetables and processes. Multitasking and Project Management: + Maintain tracking systems and project timelines to ensure efficient completion of estate settlement activities. + Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Collaboration: + Work closely with internal teams, including fiduciary services and investment professionals. + Uphold high-quality service standards while adhering to established processes. Requirements Qualifications: + Paralegal or JD candidates encouraged to apply. + Minimum of 5+ years of estate settlement experience + Expertise in probate, tax legislation, and trust administration. + Familiarity with estate tax return preparation and related software tools.
