Trust Investments Intern - Trust Investments

SUMMARY:

This position will commence Fall 2024. The WesBanco Securities Intern will learn key foundational banking and investment concepts to improve banking, investment, research and management skills in a program through various investment related functional areas. This program will last for a minimum of six weeks. The WTIS Intern will develop a number of skills related to investment research, with a focus on equity, fixed income, and mutual funds. The role will also assist in macroeconomic research and portfolio management functions. The WTIS intern will collaborate with the Chief Investment Strategist on other projects that will benefit the overall process and knowledge base of the investment team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops knowledge and understanding of investments and portfolio management concepts.

Assists management team with execution of day-to-day research functions.

Conducts investment research and due diligence on potential and existing investments.

Prepares and presents written and oral report summarizing findings.

Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates.

Participates in regular portfolio manager calls, and reviews the investment process and presentations for developmental purposes.

Develops and maintains knowledge of Bank products, Investment products, services, policies and guidelines.

Other duties may be assigned.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
