Trust Operations Specialist - DTC Settlement - Trust Operations

SUMMARY:

Works with processing of the trust depository trades and follows procedures for safekeeping of trust assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Settles trades with the custodian by comparing identification numbers, dollar amounts, and share amounts to trades on reports from the accounting system.

Reviews next day trades and informs the trade clerk associate of discrepancies, acknowledges sales for next day settlement.

Transfers and delivers securities to appropriate parties when instructed by the administrator or Investments.

Delivers to custodian physical securities received by administrators for deposit to accounts.

Delivers bonds for redemption to the Bureau of Public Debt.

Prints and forwards all tenders, reorganizations, name changes etc. to the systems coordinator. Manually completes these offers when instructed by the administrator or investments.

Forwards all dividend and redemption information received through the custodian.

Keeps up with record keeping, scanning and indexing.

Generates and reconciles trust vault reports within the securities processing area.

Completes and keeps record of call options.

Acts as backup for Weblink and Trade Clerk associate.

Must be willing to be cross-trained and may from time to time be assigned other job duties or responsibilities without prior notice.

  

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

Must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and in a timely manner.

Ability to handle detailed work under pressure.

Must be willing to work as a team as well as independently.

Ability to perform general clerical duties and operate various departmental equipment.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Ability to learn other web-based software.

Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
