A typical day may involve: * Security Strategy Crafting: Crafting client strategies for security infrastructure, applications, and management. * Enhanced Security Solutions: Detailing IBM Security solutions to improve existing technology stacks. * Effective Communication: Simplifying complex technical topics for client understanding. * Trust-Building for Cloud Deals: Building credibility and trust at all levels to successfully close complex Cloud technology deals. **Required technical and professional expertise** The ideal candidate for this role will have: * Technical Expertise in Z Security Solutions: Deep understanding of mainframe security, RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, encryption, and compliance. * Pre-Sales & Sales Engineering Experience: Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Client-Facing Skills: Strong ability to build relationships, conduct technical presentations, and influence security decision-makers. * Security & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management best practices. * Problem-Solving & Solution Development: Ability to analyze client security needs and recommend tailored solutions. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification (preferred but not required). * Previous experience in mainframe security consulting or technical pre-sales.
